Leveraging world-class knowledge and expertise from our partners, including the University of Edinburgh and ECCI, HKCCI is paving the way for low-carbon innovation in Hong Kong and China. We do so by supporting the exchange of know-how, enterprises and people with expertise in low-carbon solutions, clean energy and biomedical sciences between the UK and the Hong Kong and Chinese markets.
The Centre builds upon a 2013 Memorandum of Understanding between the Hong Kong Government and the Scottish Government, and on the extensive alumni networks of the University of Edinburgh and the Global Scot networks and activities, to develop closer partnerships between Hong Kong and Scotland to address the key challenges presented through climate change and our transition to a low-carbon economy.
HKCCI is wholly owned by University of Edinburgh. We aim to establish ourselves into a reputable hub for education, research and development, and application of world-class low carbon solutions with strong partnership among the UK, HK and China.
